Yardsperson - QCoal

Our QCoal Northern Hub Project is seeking an experienced Yards Person to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will work collaboratively with our Maintenance Superintendent to deliver high-quality solutions and results.

The QCoal Northern Hub is a major mining operation in Central Queensland, and as a Yards Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tractor slashing, whipper snipping, and poisoning entrances, workshop compounds, and go line crib huts to both Jaxs and Sonoma

• Tidy up bunding around workshop compounds

• Straighten and clean workshop compound signage

• Make new signage and repair old, damaged signage for production

• General building maintenance, including windows, doors, water leaks, etc.

• Assist HV Electrician's with aircon installs, etc.

• Deliver SOS samples to the post office

• Franna/IT loader operations around site (desirable)

• General T/A duties with the stores

• Concreting and minor road repairs

• Clean out sumps

• Weekly water treatment plant inspection/service

• Pest control around workshop compounds and go line crib huts

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role

• Experience working in an open-cut mining environment (highly desirable)

• Franna/IT loader RII's (highly desirable)

• A valid driver's license

• Standard 11
