Rehabilitation Psychologist

  • Job Description:

As a rehabilitation psychologist, you will play a key role in improving the mental health, well-being, and rehabilitation of adults in custody. Your solid interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate and work effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk
  • Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options to individuals
  • Deliver individual or group-based brief, skill-acquisition-focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • General or provisional registration as a psychologist with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain registration upon commencement)
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year minimum) in psychology or behavioural science
  • Compliance with national psychology board and AHPRA registration standards
