Biological Operations Specialist

About the Role:

This position is responsible for coordinating logistics and operations related to IVF. The role will maintain an efficient and smooth operation of the physical location, oversee general administrative functions, and support critical day-to-day laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client and team communication
  • Inventory management and tracking
  • Data entry and report generation
  • Process improvement recommendations and solutions
  • Semen logistics (schedule shipments or receiving semen, coordinate with embryo logistics as needed)
  • Prepare semen for IVFs scheduled the following day
  • Ensure correct documentation; manage semen inventory requests
  • Manage all communication regarding semen
  • Assist in monitoring liquid nitrogen tank levels
  • Keep the semen room organized

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs)
  • Flexible, adaptable to change, able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, data integrity
  • Excellent communication, time-management
  • Bovine IVF industry knowledge
  • Baseline understanding of laboratory operations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
