A full-time opportunity awaits a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Transformative Community Leader. This role involves leading the implementation of community development strategies across the HopeStreet Hub, with a focus on driving positive change and transformation in the community.

About the Role:

We seek to transform the lives of people in our communities who are living with disadvantage or experiencing great personal trials. Our team works together to create trusted places where people gather, community is strong, and lives are transformed. As the Transformative Community Leader, your role will be crucial in nurturing the growth and development of place-based, community-led approaches, providing strategic leadership to bring about impactful and sustainable change through collaboration and co-design.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Relevant qualifications: A degree or post-graduate qualification in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Working in a Community Services environment and Community Development, with a valid NSW Driver's Licence, current Working with Children Check, and current First Aid Certificate.
  3. Essential competencies: Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of our Christian identity and promote our values through interactions at work; ability to lead and work as part of a team; high-level negotiation skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders; strong leadership and management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills, including computer skills; problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; and mediation knowledge and skills.
