About the Role
The Team Leader, Student Support plays a pivotal role in the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of the university's financial aid services, catering to the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of financial aid services to students, ensuring effective outcomes and professional service delivery in a context where students may face significant personal challenges.
- Drive the ongoing refinement of administrative processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of student grants and loans.
- Develop and maintain effective self-help resources and guidance for students, empowering them to address common challenges and develop agency in resolving issues.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of practices and processes, collaborating with stakeholders to inform business improvements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to peak demands, effectively engaging with a diverse range of individuals.
Key Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated adoption of values by acting in the best interest of the University, displaying service excellence, and taking ownership of delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in student support services, ideally within financial aid or scholarship services, and developing, delivering, and evaluating services against predetermined objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in working with students in an advising context, ideally with experience in a student wellbeing context.
