Urban Design Coordinator Opportunity

Our organisation is seeking a talented Urban Design Coordinator to lead the delivery of plans, guidelines and designs for town centres, streetscapes, public realm assets and active transport infrastructure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a safe, sustainable, high-quality urban environment that reflects the community's diverse needs and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver urban design services, programs and projects.
  • Develop comprehensive plans, guidelines and designs for town centres, public spaces and active transport infrastructure.
  • Prepare project briefs, business cases and capital works programming for urban design initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance urban design outcomes and ensure compliance with organisational values and policies.
  • Contribute to policy development and evaluation related to open spaces and urban forests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in urban design coordination or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, project management and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive urban design strategies.
  • Knowledge of relevant planning policies, regulations and best practices.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
