Job Opportunity

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate medical care and first aid to guests and colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Keep accurate records of medical treatments and incidents, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external healthcare providers, and allied health professionals as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Coordinator to develop suitable duties programs for work-related and non-work-related injuries.
  • Evaluate and restock first aid kits and medical equipment regularly.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing according to company policy.
  • Support employee wellness initiatives, health promotions, and vaccination programs as required.
  • Offer EAP referrals and support as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A current registration with AHPRA.
  • A minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience – Occupational Health Nurse or Emergency nurse highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced hospital or clinic setting highly desirable.
  • Certification in Provide First Aid HLTAID011.
  • Certification in Provide CPR HLTA1D009 and Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to walk briskly, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, lift, squat, kneel, push, pull &/or carry loads up to 13 kg.
  • Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional time management and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across seven days, including evenings and weekends. Must have availability to work Saturdays and school holidays.
  • Immunization for Hepatitis B recommended.
  • Occupational First Aid HLTSS00068 advantageous.
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-Ordinator Certification & experience advantageous.
