About the Role

This role reports to the Operations Manager and is based in Wetherill Park, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production staff, managing equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and train production staff to achieve desired output and efficiency
  • Assist with day-to-day production and ensure customer orders are completed on time
  • Promote Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements
  • Actively promote company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies
  • Manage production equipment, stocks, and consumables
  • Participate in the induction and development of new team members
  • Manage scheduled maintenance programs
  • Support the Operations Manager in instilling the required culture

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
  • Trade Certificate III in Engineering is essential
  • Experience in Laser cutting, Manufacturing, and Fabrication environments
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Quality control systems
  • Understanding of safety, environment, HR, and IR legislation
  • Forklift licence and Driver licence is essential
