Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Patent and Trade Marks team at Empire Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys, including receiving correspondence, drafting correspondence, and preparing patent and trade mark applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and managing correspondence, including maintaining/updating matters in our practice management system
  • Drafting and preparing general correspondence, including emails and letters
  • Preparing draft responses/submissions for completion/finalising by the attorneys
  • Interacting with clients and preparing and filing patent, trade mark and design applications
  • Basic searches and using online portals
  • Invoicing, including disbursement management and invoice generation
  • Providing executive administrative support

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1 year Legal Assistant experience. IP/Patents & Trade Marks experience is preferred but not essential.

What We Offer

We offer a salary package including super between $80,000 - $100,000 package dependent upon experience. A bonus scheme is also on offer (up to $10,000 per year). Free parking on site.
