Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Plant 3D, as well as experience in water and wastewater treatment design.

They will possess strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

The role involves working with project teams to deliver plans for construction, supporting documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models, and establishing and maintaining design templates and drawing standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Import and manipulate vendor drawings/models.
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID's.
  • Export equipment/piping quantities.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in relevant CAD software, such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Plant 3D.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
