Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support the continued growth of our business by developing accurate and commercially competitive estimates and proposals for clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with field-based teams to gather and verify site-specific information, prepare cost estimates and formal client proposals for EV charging and solar PV installations, and conduct site visits across the UK to validate survey data and support bid development.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our estimating process and contribute to the wider success of the division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with field-based teams to gather and verify site-specific information.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and formal client proposals for EV charging and solar PV installations.
  • Conduct site visits across the UK to validate survey data and support bid development.
  • Work with the supply chain and subcontractors to obtain quotations and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the EV charging infrastructure and solar PV sectors.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation and/or City & Guilds 2921.
  • Hold BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and the IET Code of Practice for EV Charging Equipment Installation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, system layouts, and CAD drawings.
