Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to manage a complex persistent pain patient caseload.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This role is responsible for applying specialist clinical knowledge and expertise to manage a diverse range of patients with persistent pain.

The incumbent will provide high-level clinical advice, education, and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to operational teams and stakeholders.

  • Deliver independent high-level clinical psychology assessments and individual counselling to patients with persistent pain.
  • Apply well-developed trauma-informed specialist clinical knowledge and expertise to manage a complex persistent pain patient caseload.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior clinicians in the development of their clinical skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Highly developed trauma-informed specialist clinical knowledge and expertise in managing patients with persistent pain.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Capacity to maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including assessment and treatment plans.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including privacy and confidentiality requirements.
