About Us
The Department of Social Services plays a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of individuals and families within Australian communities. Our mission revolves around achieving this through effective policy development, management, and delivery.
We collaborate with government and non-government organisations to develop and manage programs that drive outcomes-based approaches to social policy issues. These initiatives focus on improving social and economic participation, building inclusive and resilient communities, and promoting volunteering.
Our Teams- Facilitate teams to explore, develop, and implement solutions to complex social policy challenges.
- Design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and awareness-raising activities to embed systems thinking and human-centred design within our organisation.
- Develop briefs and minutes to inform decision-making and provide advice to senior executives.
- Work with relevant areas of the department to facilitate annual grant rounds, including preparing documentation and coordinating the assessment process.
- Provide expert advice on program risks and evaluate policies or other grant-related matters.
- Analyse program outcomes data and make adjustments between grant rounds as required.
To be eligible for employment, you must be an Australian citizen. A pre-employment screening process will assess your suitability for the role.
You will also need to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
