Asset Management Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalising, reviewing and updating the Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF) to ensure ongoing asset management excellence.

To achieve this, the Asset Strategist will report on strategic performance, contribute to improved asset performance, and develop new approaches for collecting, analysing and applying asset data.

This includes communicating with internal business units and external stakeholders about the SAMF, aligning activities across the business with the SAMF, and contributing to related strategies, business plans, policies, procedures and guidelines.

About the Role

The Asset Strategist is accountable for improving the use of current asset data and developing new approaches for the collection, analysis and application of asset data. This involves:

  • Reviewing and updating the SAMF to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Developing and implementing effective asset management processes and procedures
  • Providing expert advice on asset management best practices
Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Asset Strategist include:

  • Operationalising the SAMF to drive asset management excellence
  • Reporting on strategic performance and contributing to improved asset performance
  • Developing and implementing new approaches for collecting, analysing and applying asset data
Requirements

The following skills and qualifications are required for the Asset Strategist role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as property, facilities management or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in asset management, preferably in a leadership or strategic role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
