Job Summary

The Injury Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the management of worker injuries and illness, from pre-employment and early intervention services through to claims and associated actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively manage high-risk and complex injury cases when needed, oversee legal aspects of claims, and attend WorkCover conciliations and hearings.
  • Develop and enhance injury management strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in practices, risk reduction, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain active liaison with regulatory agencies and internal teams to support claim performance and respond to reported injuries.
  • Manage daily functions, including caseload distribution, mentoring, coaching, setting priorities, and triaging cases.
  • Oversee early intervention programs, update policies and procedures, and deliver relevant training to support best practices in injury management.
