Regional Health and Safety Leader

This is a key role in leading the health and safety function across Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing legislative compliance and implementing health and safety systems, frameworks, and policies.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in health and safety and practical experience within the agriculture or construction industry. Strong relationships with internal and external customers and business associates are essential.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing fundamental health and safety services to senior management, branch managers, and supervisors.
  • Developing and maintaining health and safety management systems and online information systems.
  • Creating policy, procedures, and alerts to direct expectations and achieve compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Managing workcover agents in relation to all aspects of the injury management process.
  • Administering and growing capacity of branches to adhere to internal policy and procedures and achieve compliance with external legislative requirements.
  • Providing advice and support to health and safety representatives on WHS-related issues.
  • Assisting clients with diverse health and safety issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level health and safety advice across all levels within an organization.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret relevant health safety legislation.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and business associates.
  • Well-developed written communications skills with the ability to produce reports, policy development, and associated documentation.
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to quality customer service outcomes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
