Electrical Engineer

This is a Senior Electrical Engineer position at our Brisbane office. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse multi-disciplinary projects, including those related to battery minerals and plant optimisation.

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required. 7-10 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia are also mandatory.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, reviewing and marking up technical drawings, providing construction and commissioning support.
  • They should be able to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications, detailed designs, and work packs/scopes of work.
  • Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning, and contractor management are also necessary.
  • The candidate should have proficiency in both spoken and written English with good communication skills for regular client interaction.
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards is essential.
  • Expertise in hazardous areas design, hazardous areas equipment specification, and electrical system calculations are must-haves.

Desirable but not essential qualifications include:

  • Knowledge and experience working with heavy industry clients in the minerals processing.
  • Registered/Chartered Engineer status, preferably RPEQ.
  • Knowledge of control systems design.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy setting.
  • Familiarity with process safety and machine safety.
  • Experience with studies and (FEED).
  • Proficiency in workshop facilitation (HAZOP).
  • Project management skills.
