Job Title: Community Engagement Team Leader

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies for infrastructure projects.
  • Manage relationships and reduce risks for both Western Power and the community.
  • Provide specialist services and advice on community consultation processes, engagement methodologies, techniques, and legal and regulatory obligations related to all community engagement activities.
  • Improve Western Power's relationship with community stakeholders and the impacts of our infrastructure projects.
  • Cross-divisional relationships and alignment across the business.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Social Sciences, Social Planning, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in community engagement and stakeholder management and consultation.
  • Experience in incorporating best practice community engagement in large and contentious infrastructure projects.
  • IAP2 qualified.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage a team of professionals.
