Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Team Member. In this role, you will play a key part in developing people, managing change and influencing behaviors that create a supportive culture.

The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement experience, be able to ask the right questions and find the right solutions. They will also possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing team members and fulfilling a guiding, mentoring and advisory role
  • Engaging with key stakeholders and forming project specific relationships to ensure delivery of project outcomes in a successful and collaborative environment
  • Managing project procurement, contract management activities, and participating in the negotiation of contracts and agreements relating to capital works projects
  • Pursuing, developing and nurturing internal and external professional networks and collaborative working relationships to ensure the efficient and effective management of AFP's capital works projects
  • Maintaining accurate records and complying with the reporting and other regulatory requirements of Government
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Have a Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Demonstrated experience in project support, finance, administration including for example budgets, financial management, reporting, procurement and contract management
  • Demonstrated understanding and working experience of Government procurement including policies and legislation
