Are you looking for a challenging role in the heavy industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Body Builder to join our team at a reputable and established company.

This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday, with a competitive wage and benefits package. Our smash repair facility is dynamic and fast-paced, where you will use your skills to shape and restore heavy vehicle exteriors, contributing to the future of automotive excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the vehicle's damage to determine how to perform the repair work in accordance with Job Sheet
  • Fabricating, replicating and repairing the bodies of trailers, trucks and fridges to our quality standards
  • Welding repaired vehicles to a high standard
  • Advising the Parts Interpreter of any additional parts required not originally quoted on the estimate
  • Co-ordinating with other team members in the workshop to ensure the workflow is appropriately placed
  • Notifying of any product shortages which would restrict production
  • Checking the schedule daily to ensure time-frames are met

We are looking for someone with experience in bus body repair, trade qualification, strong communication and decision making skills, and mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools.
