Technical Support Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative global organization.

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing troubleshooting and technical advice to customers, as well as technical leadership and guidance to customers and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients and/or IBM field support
  • Code debug modules, write sample code, blogs, and review documentation
  • Produce knowledge base articles to enable customers to resolve issues without further escalation
  • Contribute to new and cutting-edge customer support offerings
  • Collaborate with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution

Requirements:

  • Strong listening, detail-oriented thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative global organization
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7/365 support schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Fluent in English
  • MQ knowledge or experience is a plus
