The Exhibitions Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering cultural engagement on our University campus by conceptualizing, designing, and delivering captivating displays and exhibitions that align with our learning, teaching, and research initiatives.
This strategic position operates under limited direction but collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver a range of activities that support a compelling student and campus experience. These initiatives aim to showcase and promote our research, student projects, library and archival collections, as well as our art and heritage collections.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing exhibition programs that captivate and educate diverse audiences.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful collaborations.
- Creating project plans, reports, and exhibition collateral that effectively communicate ideas and objectives.
- Utilizing project management skills to exercise initiative, establish priorities, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment and driving change through innovative thinking and best practices.
As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and growth.
- Designing and delivering engaging exhibition programs that align with the University's strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement exhibition strategies that enhance the student and campus experience.
- Coordinating logistics and operations to ensure seamless execution of exhibition events.
- Evaluating and refining exhibition programs based on metrics and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build effective relationships.
- Ability to analyze complex information, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Experience with exhibition design, implementation, and coordination, preferably in an educational or cultural institution.
- Familiarity with budget planning and financial management principles, with the ability to track expenses and manage resources effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
