Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Drill Operator to join our team at the QCoal Northern Hub Project.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a range of benefits and a dynamic work environment.

  • This role involves working on drill rigs, accurately checking the quality and depth of drill holes, and recording ground conditions that may affect blasting;
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy drill rig and reporting any maintenance faults;
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude towards reliable drilling and regular utilisation of equipment;
  • Providing neat and complete documentation for drill reports and pre-start checks;
  • Participating in safety assessments and contributing to a positive safety culture;
  • Be willing to be trained across a variety of drill rigs in the fleet and show an adaptable attitude.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in the mining industry with verified machinery skills;
  • A proactive attitude and a desire to work reliably as part of a team;
  • Current Standard 11 qualification (or willingness to obtain) and a current driver's licence;
  • A commitment to a positive safety culture and alignment to our principles: Integrity, Accountability, Innovation & Delivery;
  • Experience with rotary or top hammer drills is advantageous.
