The Role

Karingal, a residential aged care facility in Devonport, Tasmania, is welcoming new residents and offering casual opportunities for Personal Care Assistants. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends for morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Listen to consumers and understand their needs and goals
  • Follow the care plan, working under the direction of a registered nurse
  • Record consumer outcomes into Baptcare records
  • Participate in continuous improvement cycles at the home
  • Build relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders to improve life for consumers in care
  • Report workplace risks to management
  • Attend regular training sessions to maintain skills
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care
  • 12 months experience in an Aged Care facility
  • Customer-focused with a passion for working in Aged Care
  • Excellent attention to detail, honesty, reliability, and positive attitude
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
