Job Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Water Quality Team Member to support the maintenance and safe operation of pools and water attractions.

This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals aged 18 and above. Full training is provided, which includes essential skills in water quality management.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing regular water testing and chemical balancing as per set procedures.
  • Recording all water chemistry results accurately in logbooks or digital systems.
  • Maintaining pool water levels, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
  • Cleaning and maintaining filters, chlorinators, skimmers, and pool vacuum systems.
  • Inspecting and maintaining dosing and metering equipment (training provided).
  • Assisting with scooping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning of pools.
  • Conducting plant room checks and ensuring spaces are clean and hazard-free.
  • Supporting minor repairs and reporting any faults or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Participating in scheduled maintenance procedures for pool equipment.
  • Following instructions and completing daily task checklists.
  • Attending team meetings and safety briefings.

You will also be required to:

  • FOLLOW AND COMPLY WITH WORK HEALTH SAFETY POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND GUIDELINES.
  • USE ALL SAFETY AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT CORRECTLY.
  • DEMONSTRATE SAFE WORK BEHAVIOURS AND LEAD BY EXAMPLE.
  • REPORT ANY WHS INCIDENTS, INJURIES, OR NEAR MISSES TO YOUR MANAGER AND FIRST AID IMMEDIATELY.
  • ACTIONALLY PROMOTE HAZARD AND NEAR-MISS REPORTING.
  • ATTEND WORK GROUP MEETINGS TO DISCUSS SAFETY TOPICS AND CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVEMENTS.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess key qualities and attributes including:

  • Holding essential skills in water quality management.
  • Being physically fit and capable of climbing towers and working outdoors.
  • Possessing basic communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in various weather and guest conditions.

Please note that smoking in the workplace is allowed in designated smoking areas only permitted by applicable legislation.

You will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays during the season. You must be available to work a minimum of twice per week during the peak season. The hourly rates are in accordance with industry standards.
