
Water Quality Specialist

This role involves supporting the maintenance and safe operation of pools and water attractions by conducting routine testing, cleaning, and maintenance duties. As an entry-level position, it is suitable for individuals aged 18 and above. Training is provided.
About the Role:
The Water Quality Team Member supports the maintenance and safe operation of pools and water attractions by conducting routine testing, cleaning, and maintenance duties. This position requires a skilled and enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team environment and follow instructions and procedures accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform hourly water testing and chemical balancing as per set procedures.
• Record all water chemistry results accurately in logbooks or digital systems.
• Monitor and maintain pool water levels.
• Clean and maintain filters, chlorinators, skimmers, and pool vacuum systems.
• Inspect and maintain dosing and metering equipment (training provided).
• Assist with scooping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning of pools.
• Conduct plant room checks and ensure spaces are clean and hazard-free.
• Support minor repairs and report any faults or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance procedures for pool equipment.
• Follow instructions and complete daily task checklists.
• Attend team meetings and safety briefings.
• Cooperate with other Facilities team members and park departments as needed.
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
• Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Use all safety and personal protective equipment correctly.
• Demonstrate safe work behaviours and lead by example.
• Report any WHS incidents, injuries, or near misses to your Manager and First Aid immediately.
• Actively promote hazard and near-miss reporting.
• Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss safety topics and contribute to improvements.
Requirements:
• Essential: Water Quality Essentials Training (provided)
• Desirable: Manual Handling Training, Confined space training, Working at Heights training, Manual Drivers Licence, Forklift licence
• Languages: Fluent English
• Skills: Basic communication and teamwork skills, Ability to follow instructions and procedures, Physically fit and capable of climbing towers and working outdoors, Attention to detail and commitment to safety, Ability to remain calm and professional in varied weather and guest conditions.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary, training provided.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work flexible working hours including but not limited to weekends, early morning starts (from 5am as late as 9pm), evenings and public holidays.
• Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct policy.
• Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions including sun and rain, hot and cold climates, indoor and outdoor work.
• To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Direct Manager, General Manager, or any member of the Management Team.
• Adhere to the Employee Handbook content and requirements.
