About the Role

As a Senior Assurance Analyst in our Divisional Assurance - Institutional team, you'll play a critical role in providing 1st line technology assurance to the Payments Technology domain. You'll work closely with the Assurance Manager to ensure the Institutional Domain and Payments Technology Domain achieve their objectives by providing guidance and oversight on risk operations.

You'll collaborate with 1st line and 2nd line risk teams across the bank to design and implement controls that reduce the bank's overall risk profile. Your expertise will help the Payments Technology Domain and related business divisions understand their risk profile and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support compliance with the Identify, Act and Monitor (I.AM) risk framework for the Payments Technology Domain
  • Review and prepare risk reporting for the Payments Technology Domain and related Business Reporting, providing insights and consulting on actions to improve risk measures
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to educate and support risk maturity
  • Proactively engage and follow up actions with technology and business stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement of risk and control practices
  • Provide risk and security consulting advice on risk and security related tasks and issues
  • Provide assurance of quality and adequacy of risks, key controls, treatments, events, audit items, NFRAs etc as required
  • Act as a contact for stakeholders seeking support from first line assurance
  • Attend and participate in, and assist in the production of reporting for, risk committees and other forums as required
What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology risk and information security processes, concepts, and industry standards
  • Sound understanding of control effectiveness assessment/testing, mitigation techniques and risk reporting requirements
  • Ability to analyse data to determine root cause of control deficiencies to enable meaningful discussions with business stakeholders around potential business impacts and identify process improvements
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Growth mindset, ready to engage and influence stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to synthesise information from multiple sources to produce meaningful reporting, insights and action plans
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas in a consumable format with supporting action plans
  • Planning and prioritising what needs to be done in order to deliver upon user needs and strategic priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
