About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to the Early Childhood Education Digital Services team. This involves analyzing complex data integrations, identifying business needs, and developing comprehensive documentation for the development and enhancement of Early Childhood Education IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Early Childhood Education Digital Services team, Policy Managers, Policy Officers, and IT technical specialists to gain a detailed understanding of business and policy requirements.
  • Lead the analysis of complex data integrations, both internal and external to the Department.
  • Develop and validate business requirements, using business analysis techniques and outputs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to manage expectations and build strong relationships.
  • Use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project principles and practices with a tailored Agile development approach.
Requirements
  • Experience in working on complex data management projects.
  • Analysis of source system data, understanding of attributes, reference data, and metadata.
  • Experience in working with a range of business and technical stakeholders.
  • Prior success in major IT transformation projects as the data analyst.
  • Experience in complex data integrations and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Azure and Mulesoft.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT.
  • Direct experience in the implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
  • One or more Agile Certifications.
  • Experience in using Jira and Confluence.
