Our Vision

The Department of Health is seeking a skilled Allied Health Professional to join their team in providing exceptional mental health services to young people in southern Tasmania.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) as part of a multidisciplinary team environment, delivering high-quality mental health care to children and young people in out-of-home care. The role involves undertaking clinical services through evidence-based assessment, therapies, and case management, including the development and implementation of specialized treatment programs.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Deliver high-level clinical care to young people in out-of-home care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
