Role Overview
As an SMB Account Executive at Afterpay, your primary focus will be to propel our growth by establishing connections with potential Premium merchants. This role involves a blend of proactive outreach and managing incoming leads. We seek a confident salesperson who is adept at navigating the sales process and is comfortable engaging with clients over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls to create new business opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth by onboarding new Premium merchants and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Handle incoming leads with an emphasis on achieving high conversion rates.
- Facilitate the onboarding of SMBs while supporting multi-channel growth.
- Adhere to sales and onboarding protocols to optimize annual sales performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, effectively communicating Afterpay's value proposition.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of Afterpay, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Utilize Salesforce for tracking and reporting all sales activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proficient in high-volume cold calling and business development strategies.
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, or Aircall is advantageous.
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and analyze data to enhance merchant interactions and meet sales targets.
- Previous experience in retail or the payments sector is beneficial but not essential.
- Demonstrate integrity in decision-making and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.
