Product Manager - Woven Tops Department

As a key member of The Just Group, a leading Australian retailer, we are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Woven Tops Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high-performing team and contribute to the success of our iconic brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial product strategies that align with seasonal trends and direction.
  • Manage the garment development process, including fabric, trims, blocks, colour, and washes.
  • Build and execute buying plans that engage our customer and drive revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Benchmark competitors to continually inspect and optimise our product range.
  • Research trends, product innovation, and competitors to stay ahead of the market.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to deliver value for money, quality products that achieve product margin targets.
  • Liaise with direct suppliers across multiple countries to ensure seamless production and delivery.
  • Manage the critical path and production plan to achieve budgeted sales and margin.
  • Review performance and future range inspirations to drive the brand's competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Proven buying and product development experience within womenswear.
  • Experience within woven and knitwear categories is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing production and the critical path.
  • Experience of dealing with direct vendors across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to work using open costing models and forensic attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed strategic planning capabilities and a solid critical path manager.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Confident in understanding budgets and margin calculations.
  • Adaptable approach with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships.
