Job Overview

This is an opportunity to drive best practice and champion child safety across the organisation, shaping a culture where children's wellbeing always comes first.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the implementation of trauma-informed practices and child-centred decision-making
  • Embed systems for decision-making and policy alignment with child safeguarding principles
  • Build organisational capability to assess and manage risks to children, including investigation management
  • Develop a reporting culture where concerns about child safety and wellbeing are confidently raised and addressed
  • Provide expert guidance on child safe standards and reporting obligations to senior leaders and teams
  • Strengthen quality assurance systems and ensure legislative compliance
Requirements:
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or another human services discipline
  • Strong experience leading investigations and developing policy at a senior level
  • Deep understanding of Victorian Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and mandatory reporting obligations
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills with influence over change across a multi-site organisation
  • Highly organised with ability to embed trauma-informed practices
