Job Title: Casual Chef

Accor is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our team. As a Casual Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with senior chefs to maintain high food standards and meet guest expectations.
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages, including preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless kitchen operations and adhere to guidance and direction.
  • Follow established guidelines for food safety and handling.
  • Contribute to kitchen presentation and operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Work Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Trade cooking qualifications are essential.
  • Experience in a commercial cookery environment, with experience in functions is preferable.
  • A respectful and professional approach to work and working with a team.
  • A passion and appreciation for food and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to adapt, show resilience, and maintain high standards when under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Care and competence in maintaining high standards, even when under pressure.
  • Physical fitness to perform role-related tasks, including working on your feet, heavy lifting, and movement of goods.
  • An understanding of safe work practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Flexible availability, mostly night work from 2pm-10pm, though could at times include lunch & breakfast service.
