Senior System Software Tester/Integrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Software Tester/Integrator to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our Traffic Management System V&V Engineers team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective preparation and execution of Factory and Site Tests.

Your primary focus will be on verifying and validating software-intensive systems against system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and operating scenarios. You will create test cases through technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications, increasing automation within a continuous integration environment.

You will also support coordination of systems requirements management activities, contribute to the issuance of test and integration plans, and monitor project activities and indicators. Additionally, you will maintain a list of project issues, ensuring discussion and agreement with the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective preparation and execution of Factory and Site Tests
  • Create test cases through technical analysis of specifications
  • Increase automation of software testing within a CI environment
  • Support coordination of systems requirements management activities
  • Contribute to the issuance of test and integration plans
  • Maintain a list of project issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Systems or Software Engineering or Information Technology
  • Experience:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the rail signalling field
  • Skills:
  • Aptitude for automated testing of integrated systems
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem investigation/solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Aptitude for manual and automated testing of an integrated system
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
  • Extensive software language knowledge for server side, front end, and DevOps
