We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Software Tester/Integrator to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

Job Description
  • This role will involve working in a diverse multicultural environment focused on testing and integration of software-intensive systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with software verification and validation best practices, as well as safety-critical techniques based on international standards.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing the effective preparation and execution of Factory and Site Tests, creating test cases through technical analysis of functional and non-functional specifications, and increasing automation of software testing within a continuous integration environment.

This is a critical role that requires strong logical reasoning and problem investigation/solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong understanding of professional software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Systems or Software Engineering or Information Technology
  • Rail Industry Worker card and competencies (current or eligible to obtain)
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the rail signalling field
  • Aptitude for automated testing of integrated systems
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem investigation/solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Aptitude for manual and automated testing of an integrated system
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle
  • Extensive software language knowledge for server side, front end and DevOps
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, Selenium
  • Working knowledge of software platforms (e.g., Linux, VMware, Podman/Docker)
  • Competence with relational database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB)
  • Understanding of various network topologies
