About This Opportunity

As a key member of our mechanical design office, you will lead and manage a team of engineers and designers in the development of complex mechanical systems for high-performance products.

This role involves overseeing the design and development of mechanical systems, including actuator arms, gearboxes, and aircraft structural assemblies. You will be responsible for evaluating the integration of these systems with electronics, avionics, and composite structures.

You will also coordinate design reviews, create design documentation, and implement continuous improvement practices across the team.

Maintaining a hands-on presence is essential to support prototyping, fault-finding, and system testing as needed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive designs for mechanical systems, taking into account performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Evaluate and improve the integration of mechanical systems with other components, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimal results.
  • Leverage leadership skills to guide teams through the design process, fostering open communication and encouraging innovative problem-solving.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying new knowledge and technologies to enhance existing processes and products.
Key Requirements
  • Possess extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, or robotics industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience in an engineering environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools for 3D modeling and mechanical systems design.
  • Practical knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems, with the ability to analyze and interpret results.
