Digital Infrastructure Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital Infrastructure Specialist to design, evaluate, and implement infrastructure solutions that meet current and future business needs.

This role offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively across architecture, shared services, and third-party providers to ensure robust gateway infrastructure and secure operations.

NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and implement infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements
  • Provide expert technical support during project build, testing, and deployment phases
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including design specs, implementation plans, and support procedures
  • Contribute to strategic planning, operational policy development, and change initiatives
  • Participate in change management processes and assess the impact of configuration changes
  • Deliver specialist technical advice and strategic insights to senior leadership
Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in managing internet gateway or large-scale data centre networking environments
  • Proficiency in F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching, load balancing, and proxy systems
  • Strong background in Cisco Data Centre technologies including ACI, routers, Nexus switches, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions
  • Expertise in VPN technologies, email systems, and DNS (Infoblox) solutions
  • Familiarity with hybrid/public cloud integration and Australian Government security standards (ASD ISM, Essential Eight)
