Product Owner - Mortgages

Mortgage Product Owners are responsible for delivering customer-centric initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and drive the product roadmap.

As a Mortgage Product Owner, you will be accountable for:

  • Grooming, scoring, and collating all mortgage minor enhancement requests from stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including feature engineers, product managers, distribution teams, credit operations, risk & compliance, and technical squads.
  • Owning the discovery phase of initiatives by gathering business requirements and engaging with production support squads to obtain high-level cost and delivery time estimates.
  • Managing mortgage business-as-usual (BAU) maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in product ownership or delivery of customer initiatives, preferably across business and IT.
  • Experience in process optimization, ideally in mortgages or lending portfolios.
  • Business analysis skills, comfortable working with user stories and requirement gathering.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to manage and communicate with various stakeholders.
