Infrastructure Project Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the delivery of civil infrastructure projects for a prominent government agency.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, including earthworks, road/pavement, drainage, and structural scope of works. They must be able to interpret and execute contract plans, manage project guidelines in accordance with company policies and procedures, and liaise with clients and external subcontractors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage and coordinate the work of contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before commencing work
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and make adjustments as needed
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and provide regular updates on project progress
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies for improving project efficiency and reducing costs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the civil construction industry
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of Australian OH&S Standards and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
