">About the Role
">We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide specialist support and advice on health and safety matters as part of Army's Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Management System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing WHS support and advice to the Brigade Command Group and Direct Command Units in their day-to-day management of health and safety performance and outcomes.
">Key Responsibilities
">- ">
- Provide basic WHS advice and subject matter expertise including occupational health and hygiene, critical risk management, WHS auditing, and sound knowledge of WHS management systems;">
- Develop and sustain WHS policy and compliance frameworks that directly support Army's force preservation and assurance that strive to keep personnel safe;">
- Maintain internal WHS governance arrangements for 9 Brigade and work closely with other staff functions within the Headquarters to facilitate a 'compliance culture';">
- Contribute to the maintenance of reports and time-sensitive data analysis that inform decision making for 9 Brigade and assist Army in meeting its due diligence obligations under the WHS Act 2011;">
- Work closely with other staff functions to develop and implement best practice WHS management systems;">
Requirements
">- ">
- Sound knowledge of the WHS Act 2011 and associated Regulations;">
- Experience working with relevant WHS Codes of Practice desirable;">
- Able to demonstrate analytical skills and problem-solving abilities;">
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills;">
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally;">
- Broad experience with IT-based WHS reporting and management systems;">
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety or ability to complete.">
Working Conditions
">The role is ideally suited to an individual who can work collaboratively and is willing to adapt to changing priorities. You will be based at Headquarters 9th Brigade at Keswick Barracks, South Australia, with occasional remote work possible.
">Salary
">$83,706 - $89,659 + up to 15.4% Superannuation per annum.
