**About Us**

An opportunity has become available to join the Workforce Safety and Wellbeing team as a Work Health and Safety Coordinator on a Permanent Part Time assignment. The Work Health Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the consultation, development, review and advice on all facets of work health and safety. The role will liaise and consult with all key stakeholders in this process is integral to this position. This position will primarily support Hawkesbury Hospital as well as other services within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
As a WHS Coordinator, you will be a part of a team that has the accountability for ensuring that the LHD complies with requirements of NSW Legislation, NSW Health, Government and Hospital policies and procedures.

**What you will bring to the role**:
- Tertiary Work Health & Safety qualifications and/or other relevant qualification with extensive proven experience in Work Health & Safety, at a high level in a large multidisciplinary organisation.
- Accredited and experienced in or working towards conducting Work Health and Safety Audits within NSW Health.
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of health, safety strategies, projects and initiatives with an understanding of change management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to: work effectively at all levels of the organization; influence and drive outcomes, through persuasion and the ability to gain respect and creditability with management and employees; act as an internal services advisor and change agent.
- Demonstrated effective decision-making skills using strategic thinking for positive outcomes in WHS & Risk Management.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing data and providing high level reports.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' license and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
