About the Role

\

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to provide assessment, counselling and therapeutic support to children and families.

\

This practitioner will undertake intake and assessment interviews, offer counselling and deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families including clients seeking assistance with their relationships under the Family Law Act 1975.

\

The successful applicant will have:

  • Client-centred therapeutic counselling interventions\
  • Collaboration across client service lines\
  • Excellent interpersonal understanding and communication skills\
  • Proficiency in technology and service delivery modalities\
  • Experience working with diverse clients from different backgrounds and life experiences\

About You\

To be considered for this position, you must be a client-focused practitioner with demonstrated experience in fee-for-service delivery.

\

You will hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Family Therapy, with postgraduate studies and at least 2 years' experience.

\

Prior experience working with children, youth and families is preferred, as is registration with AHPRA or AASW, or equivalent Professional association.

\

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of contemporary counselling methods, direct experience in the field and familiarity with the Family Law Act 1975.

\

A commitment to promoting the profile of Relationship Matters across the community through professional service delivery is essential.
