Procurement and Contracts Officer

The Public Sector People organization is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Officer to support the council's procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Provide high-level management support to the centre-led procurement function, ensuring seamless coordination of supply chain and procurement systems.
  • Skillful Contract Management: Support the Procurement Business Partners by maintaining procurement documentation through coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective contract management practices.

Selection Criteria:

  • Essential Requirements:
    • A Class C Driver's Licence is mandatory for this position.
    • Proven understanding of Local Government procurement legislation and policies.
    • Demonstrated knowledge in public tendering and contract development.
    • High level of computer literacy required.
    • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in procurement or administration will be highly valued.
    • Coordination/management experience with Vendor Panel systems and TechnologyOne / OneCouncil systems will be beneficial.

Remuneration: $63 per hour + superannuation, working 3 days a week (with occasional additional hours as needed) for an estimated duration of 12-15 months.
