We're seeking a dynamic Digital Producer to drive content strategy and execution across a leading Australian news, sport, lifestyle, entertainment, and shopping website.
Job OverviewThis critical role works closely with the Editor, overseeing and editing the homepage to showcase optimal content.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategically plan and execute homepage content, ensuring maximum visibility and traffic.
- Collaborate with editors and producers across all verticals to deliver exceptional results.
- Analyse performance data and make informed decisions to optimise homepage performance through A/B testing.
- Develop and implement strategies for major events like elections, the Oscars, and the Olympics.
- Manage Google Showcase panels to maximise online presence.
- Extensive experience as a Digital Producer in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
- Strong news judgment and ability to make quick, sound editorial decisions under pressure.
- Excellent understanding of current affairs, global events, and popular culture.
- Familiarity with legal best practices in digital publishing.
- Impeccable knowledge of the English language, including grammar, syntax, and journalistic style.
