About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Account Director or Group Account Director to join our team at Thrive, Sydney. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our agency's growth and innovation.

As a Senior Account Director or Group Account Director, you will be responsible for leading a core Sydney team of category specialists and reporting to the local Sydney Business Director. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the world's biggest brands in tech, travel, and tourism, transport, wellness, automotive, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated, strategic PR/social plans with impact
  • Manage client relationships and develop thought leadership strategies across traditional media and social
  • Lead a team of category specialists and provide guidance on workflow and outcomes
  • Drive best-in-class work across strategy, creative, and delivery of traditional and integrated communications services
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities and contribute to the growth and success of the agency

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10-12+ years of experience in agency or in-house
  • A genuine lover of news, policy, media, and business in Australia
  • An ability to devise integrated, strategic PR/social plans with impact
  • A demonstrated network developed by excellent relationship management and outstanding client service reputation
  • A positive, energetic approach to work and a natural solutions-focused mindset
  • A proven track record of client development resulting in annualized revenue growth
  • Experience in managing teams and financial acumen
