The Residential Property Officer plays a vital role in the organisation, working under direction to ensure accommodation provision meets policy objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee residential accommodation for staff, contractors, and visitors in North Tasmania, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate tenancies, furnishing, service connections, maintenance, and cleaning to achieve seamless operations.
  • Serve as single point of contact for all accommodation-related issues, including liaison, negotiation, and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders and tenants.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in real estate or property management, along with a solid understanding of relevant legislation.
  • High-level interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, relationship establishment, and effective use of consultation and authority when interacting with stakeholders.
  • A high level of organisational skills, including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, capacity, creativity, adaptability, and flexibility in developing appropriate solutions and meeting work deadlines with minimal supervision.
