Job Overview

This position is responsible for creating and administering junior medical officer (JMO) rosters, maintaining daily rosters, coordinating JMO onboarding and credentialing, and providing administrative support to junior and senior medical staff.

  • Roster Management: Develop and implement efficient rostering systems to ensure equitable and cost-effective allocation of medical staff.
  • Daily Rosters: Manage sick leave, overtime, and annual leave cover for all JMOs, adhering to safe working hours as per the JMO awards.
  • JMO Onboarding and Credentialing: Assist with the recruitment, orientation, and credentialing of new JMOs, including managing rotation processes and secondment sites.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports, newsletters, correspondence, meeting papers, and audits, while maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with the medical workforce unit manager and team members, and relevant tertiary qualifications. Experience in a medical workforce or hospital setting is highly desirable, as well as a proven ability to manage workload in a high-volume environment.
