About this roleThe Orthopaedic Specialist is responsible for providing and supporting minimally invasive surgical solutions to surgeons, patients and hospitals. You will apply strategic selling skills and clinical knowledge when engaging with specialists and other key stakeholders within the hospital setting. You will quickly establish rapport, credibility and long-term professional relationships that benefit our customers, and align with Applied Medical's company values and mission.
Following our industry leading onboarding program, you will support and grow the Applied Medical Alexis Orthopaedic product portfolio which provides clinical solutions and patient outcomes in both public and private operating theatres.
Your duties and responsibilities- The role requires an independently minded sales focused person who has a demonstrated record of surgeon conversions with a growth mindset
- Maintain current knowledge of the ANZ healthcare landscape, surgery, and surgical device trends in both the public and private hospital system
- Manage the existing Applied Medical Alexis Orthopaedic portfolio
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOL's and hospital personnel within the assigned state
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Create effective strategic sales plans with sound implementation tactics
- Implement and support educational programs
- Exceed customers' expectations while growing your business
- Uphold and enhance Applied Medical's culture and brand

We are seeking a self-driven candidate with proven orthopaedic experience who is comfortable working in a theatre environment. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver clinical solutions and demonstrate value-driven outcomes for all stakeholders.
Operating within the healthcare setting, you will be expected to provide solutions that support our customers' needs while aligning with the core values of Applied Medical.
- Relevant experience in Orthopaedic procedures (joint, hip, shoulder)
- Relevant medical device experience
- Existing knowledge base of anatomy and physiology focused on the musculoskeletal system
- Proven sales success in orthopaedics
- Curiosity and a passion for learning
- Ability to retain and articulate complex clinical information
- High level of interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to successfully engage with all stakeholders
- Practical knowledge of the healthcare space
- Strong business acumen, analytical and organisational skills
- Highly collaborative professional with excellent verbal and written communication
- Clear and inspiring presenter
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and capacity to manage competing priorities
- Current Drivers Licence
- Some travel within Australia
