Job Summary

The company seeks an experienced legal professional to provide expert advice and support for the Disney business in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on distribution, partnership, and promotional deals for Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Supervise legal clearance and compliance work for marketing materials.
  • Draft and negotiate key content licence agreements with broadcasters and digital service providers.
  • Manage a team of lawyers and act as a guide for other legal professionals.
  • Develop and implement legal policies, best practice guidelines, and training for the ANZ Disney+ and Content Sales business teams.
Ideal Experience:
  • Significant experience (minimum 15+ years) as a qualified lawyer with both private practice and in-house experience, focused on IP, commercial, and media and entertainment law.
  • Admitted to practice law in any State or Territory of Australia.
  • Must hold current Australian State or Territory practising certificate.
  • Proven experience advising in the media and entertainment industry is essential.
