We offer a unique opportunity to join our Manufacturing Support team at Macquarie University's global HQ. As a key member, you will work closely with bespoke silicone injection moulding machines, troubleshooting and resolving production line issues while prioritizing business needs.

  • Install and set up mould tools for alignment, ensuring proper connections (hydraulic, electrical, and cooling) for efficient production and high-quality output.
  • Change mould tools safely, removing existing moulds, preparing new moulds, and installing them with precision.
  • Configure and adjust moulding machines according to required settings for each production run.
  • Continuously monitor and fine-tune moulding settings to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Conduct trials of new or modified mould tools to validate their performance.
  • Maintain and ensure all moulding equipment is in good working condition and available for production.
  • Implement safe work practices throughout moulding areas.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
About the Role:

To succeed in this role, you'll need prior experience with troubleshooting and working with moulding machines in a manufacturing environment. You'll demonstrate strong communication skills, proven experience in maintaining and repairing silicone injection moulding machines or similar equipment, and a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with moulding machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing silicone injection moulding machines or similar equipment.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
